Training for the moment that decides the shift.

Most dementia training teaches caregivers what dementia is. Dementia Steady trains what they do at 2 AM, when a frightened client won't let them close and no one is coming to help. Then it shows you whether they can.

Your team has been trained. You still don't know what they'll do.

Your caregivers have sat through dementia training, and many could define sundowning on a quiz. What a certificate can't tell you is what happens when a client swings at someone in the bathroom, refuses her pills, or insists on leaving to pick up children who grew up fifty years ago. Those moments are where clients get hurt, families lose trust, and good caregivers decide to quit. Attendance records and knowledge tests don't show you how your team handles them.

The Steadier Ground Method

Notice interrupts the reaction.
Read slows the story.
Reach changes the approach.

Steady holds the ground.

The method was built inside a working home care agency, from real shifts with real clients, not in a classroom.

Three parts, one system

The Dementia Steady workshop. A single live session for your team, on site or virtual. Before it starts, each participant answers real scenes on Steady Check. Afterward, you receive a team summary showing where your staff's judgment is strong and where it isn't.

Groundwork. A self-paced course caregivers complete on their phones between visits: eight modules, about six hours in all. Each module opens with a real scene, teaches one part of the method, checks understanding with scenes where the details decide the right answer, and ends with a short task on a real shift that a supervisor reviews.

Dementia Steady Proficiency. Each caregiver answers a written scene they haven't seen before, scored against a rubric. Proficiency must be renewed to stay current, so it reflects current skill, not a class taken once.

What your organization gets

  • A baseline of how your team handles hard moments, before you spend on training.
  • A course your caregivers can finish between visits, with supervisor review built in.
  • A Proficiency certificate that shows who can do the work, not just who attended.
  • Supervisor-reviewed shift tasks that show how the method is landing in real homes.

What your caregivers get

  • Training that starts from situations they recognize and respects what they already know.
  • Feedback on their own answers.
  • A Proficiency certificate that belongs to them, wherever they work.

We measure before we claim.

Groundwork's first round of testing begins in November, with before-and-after answers scored blind by two independent scorers. We'll share what we find, including what doesn't work. Until the evidence is in, we don't make claims about outcomes we haven't measured.

Start by seeing where your team stands.

Try Steady Check free with up to 10 of your caregivers. You'll get a team summary of where their judgment is strong and where it isn't, and each caregiver gets their own feedback.
